Superheroes on a Medical Mission
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) estimates that about 12 to 18 million people have sleep disorders, and that about 3 percent of children and teens have them. People with sleep apnea have difficulty breathing during slumber because they have shallow breathing or stop breathing for ten to twenty seconds. This can occur twenty to thirty times each hour.
