Beaches
Most children are familiar with the beach. They think of it as a place where they can go to swim and play in the sand during warm weather. They may not realize that beaches are landforms that are shaped by wind, water, and other natural forces. They also may not realize that there are different kinds of beaches, and that many different kinds of plants and animals rely on the beach to survive.
