Spotlight on Colorado
This series of interactive eBooks provides Coloradan students an in-depth look at their state's history, geography, culture, and government. Students will learn about everything from the earliest Pueblo peoples to Colorado's path to statehood and how Colorado's past has led it to become the state it is today. In addition to the informative text, each eBook has additional interactive features to enhance learning. These include valuable supplemental information, biographies of important figures in Colorado history, maps, primary source documents with analysis, and engaging videos. Additionally, quizzes within each eBook provide opportunities for assessing student's information literacy. Timelines help students establish chronological events while also putting them in historical context with events happening in the United States. Actor-narrated audio provides support for struggling readers and English language learners. Ultimately, this eBook series provides Colorado's next generation the knowledge and skills they need to understand history and social studies in the 21st century.
